Eduard 1:35 Leopold is a photo-etched detail set in brass for a model of the German K5(E) Leopold railway gun in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for detailing a model of the German heavy 28 cm K5(E) railway gun nicknamed Leopold in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of the gun but a set of fine photo-etched parts that replace or complement the coarser plastic elements of a base kit and markedly raise its fidelity.
The K5(E) Leopold was a German railway gun of the Second World War with a long 28 cm barrel mounted on a massive railway carriage. It served for long-range bombardment and became famous above all for its deployment at Anzio in Italy, where the Allies nicknamed guns of this kind the Anzio Express.
Photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife, shaped with a bending tool and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Given the size of the real subject, it helps to work through it section by section (the carriage, the platforms, the railings, the running gear) and to degrease the surface and apply a primer before painting.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
