Eduard M-26 Dragon Wagon exterior 1:35 - photo-etched set

A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale, intended for detailing the exterior of the plastic model of the American M26 Dragon Wagon heavy tractor. It holds fine exterior features that cannot be cast faithfully in plastic: grilles, brackets, eyes, chains, latches and various small fittings. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory that gives a built or part-built kit the delicacy the scale calls for.

The real subject

The M26 was an American heavy tractor of the Second World War with an armored cab, designed to tow a semitrailer for transporting and recovering tanks. The combination of tractor and lowbed semitrailer earned the nickname Dragon Wagon and became the backbone of armored vehicle transport for Allied units. The massive machine with its several axles could carry even the heaviest tanks of the day.

Use and tips

• Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface.
• Shape the bends in a bending tool or with a steel ruler.
• Glue the parts with super glue applied in a small amount.
• You will use the set above all on the cab, the axles and the cargo bed.

Who the set is for

• Modelers of American wheeled and transport vehicles in 1:35 scale
• Anyone interested in faithful exterior detail without laborious scraping of plastic
• More advanced builders of plastic models

This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
