A detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the American M551 Sheridan light tank from Tamiya in its Vietnam War form. The set is executed in the typically accurate and buildable Tamiya style, it contains crew figures and decals for several marking options. A movable driver hatch and well fitting parts make the build easier.
The M551 Sheridan was an American light airborne and reconnaissance tank with an aluminum hull and low weight, which even allowed it to be dropped by parachute. It carried an unusual weapon - a 152 mm combined gun and launcher, able to fire conventional ammunition and guided missiles alike. The Sheridan served from the end of the 1960s and took part, among other things, in the fighting in Vietnam.
Assemble and paint the running gear first, while it is still easy to reach. A pronounced mud and dust patina suits the Vietnam machines - dark washes in the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear. The crew figures round out the atmosphere of service. An airbrush helps with a smooth base coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
