An MG 34 machine gun with a drum for an ammunition belt, 1:35 scale: the form marked in the name by the word Long.
Responsibility details are not available.
Unlike partial replacement elements, this time it is a whole weapon together with the container in which the ammunition belt is coiled. The designation Long in the name sets this rendering apart from the other variants of the same range. The result is a component ready to be seated on a mount or into the hands of a figure. The silhouette of the weapon changes noticeably by that against the bare form.
A sheet metal vessel hung on the side of the weapon carried the coiled belt and prevented the loose end from dragging on the ground or catching on the equipment. Thanks to it the gunner managed a move and a change of position without a second man to feed the belt. Once emptied, the vessel was taken off and replaced with a full one. They were carried several at a time and the empty ones were collected back for refilling.
First spray the weapon as a whole with a dark base, and only then deal with a different shade for the container. A dry brush with a steel pigment draws out the edges and suggests a worn coat; do not overdo it, in a reduction a hint is enough. If you are putting the component into the hands of a figure, adjust the grip before the glue begins to set. Do not forget to dust the lower surfaces, because the weapon was commonly set down straight on the ground.
