Responsibility details are not available.
This cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:35 scale is intended for a plastic model of the Soviet Mil Mi-24 Hind attack helicopter. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields with no lengthy hand-cutting of tape.
The Mil Mi-24, in the NATO code Hind, is a Soviet attack helicopter that combines a heavily armored firing platform with the ability to carry a squad of troops in the rear cabin. It entered service in the 1970s, carried guided missiles, unguided rockets and a gun and became known for its robust construction. It spread through the Soviet and many other air forces and remains one of the best-known attack helicopters to this day.
Degrease the glazing of the tandem cockpit and the side windows carefully. Lift the individual masks off the backing and place them on the frames, working panel by panel on the more complex glazing. Fine-tune the transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package holds only the masks. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
