This is a set of colored 3D decals for the cabin interior, applied like classic wet decals but with fine raised relief and a full-color print. They replace the laborious painting of the instrument panel, the side panels and other cockpit details and are a pleasant alternative to photo-etched parts. The set is dimensioned for a particular injection-molded kit of this type in 1:35 scale. The target kit is ICM.
The CH-54A Tarhe (Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane) is an American heavy transport helicopter with an open fuselage frame and a flying crane layout. It served above all with the United States Army, where it carried oversized loads and container modules and recovered damaged equipment. Its characteristic glazed cabin with a downward view allowed precise handling of a load.
The parts are cut out, dipped in water and transferred onto the surface, ideally one that is smooth and degreased. It is worth using a softener so that the decal settles into the recesses as well, and letting everything dry thoroughly. The interior is assembled before the fuselage is closed up, so plan the order of assembly in advance.
This is not a helicopter model but an accessory set of decals. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included.
