This set from Voyager Model is a brass photo-etched detail set for a model of the American M-ATV armored vehicle (resistant to mines and improvised explosive devices, MRAP) fitted with a remote weapon station of the Crow II type, in 1:35 scale. The photo-etched parts refine the grilles, the guards, the brackets, the items of the weapon station and other detail. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory for the Panda 35007 kit.
The M-ATV is an American four-wheeled armored vehicle of the MRAP category with the emphasis on resistance to mines and improvised explosive devices while keeping its off-road mobility. It often carries a remote weapon station (RWS) of the Crow II type, which the crew works from the protected interior of the vehicle. It serves above all on present-day deployments abroad.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife, make the bends over a bending tool or a metal ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, or with two-part epoxy. Degrease the parts before painting and lay down a primer for metal surfaces; it is best to spray the paint with an airbrush so that the fine detail does not get flooded. Fill the gap between the photo-etched part and the plastic with filler.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
