This is a set of workable scale tracks in 1:35 scale, not a standalone model. The tracks are based on the design of the German links of the Diehl type and are meant for the M109 self-propelled howitzer in the form used by the armies of NATO. They are made up of individual links, which once assembled can be given a realistic sag over the running gear.
They replace the rubber or simplified tracks from the base kit with a truer version with the structure of the links rendered. The workable tracks make it possible to imitate the real sag of the track between the road wheels, which markedly raises the realism of the finished model.
Clean the links carefully of flash and join them according to the instructions; with the glued versions take care that the track stays movable until the glue dries and can be adapted to the shape of the running gear. Apply a primer, paint with an airbrush and bring the surface of the tracks to life with metallic highlights, a wash and dust pigments.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
