A resin set of road wheels in 1:35 scale for a model of the German Panther tank in the Ausf. D version, in the strengthened form. It is not a kit, but a replacement for the plastic parts on a finished model. The running gear of the Panther is seen from outside as a row of interleaved wheels, so their rendering decides how the model comes across close up and in a photograph.
The Panther was a German medium tank with sloped armor and with running gear in which the road wheels interleaved in two rows. Such running gear rode softly but was demanding to maintain, and in mud and frost material packed between the wheels. Because of the weight of the vehicle, the form of the wheels was revised and strengthened during production, among other things by adding further rivets around the hub.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw, true the surface with a file and protect your airways while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is, with cyanoacrylate. With interleaved running gear the wheels have to be painted before assembly, because afterwards a brush will not reach the rear rows. Lay mud and dust on at the very end and from below upward.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
