The package contains photo-etched parts and offers several marking variants. The hatches can be built in the open or the closed position. Thanks to the good production quality the build is manageable even for less experienced modelers.
The Panzerkampfwagen II was a German light tank that formed the backbone of the tank units in the early phases of the Second World War. The Ausf.F version was its last major production variant, with more heavily armored front of the hull and turret. The main armament was a rapid-firing 2 cm gun complemented by a coaxial machine gun. In North Africa the Panzer II served with the Afrika Korps above all as a fast reconnaissance machine in the conditions of desert warfare, where its mobility made up for its weaker armor and armament.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull and fit the fenders. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and use an airbrush and a primer for painting. Sand and yellow-brown tones suit African service; you underline the character of a desert machine with dust pigments on the running gear and the lower hull, a dark wash into the engraved lines and fine chipping on the edges. A matte varnish at the end unifies the surface.
