Wallpaper in 1:35 scale is a printed scenic accessory for a diorama. It completes the walls of an interior that would otherwise stay bare and give the scene away as a set piece.

This is a printed diorama accessory in 1:35 scale, not a kit. It serves for completing the walls of an interior in a scene: a room, an inn, an office or the living part of a house that can be seen into through an open wall or a damaged front. The set is part of a numerous numbered range of wallpapers from the same manufacturer, so you can choose more than one pattern for a single scene.
Most dioramas take place out of doors, but it is an open interior that tends to lift a scene above the average. The viewer is given the chance to look inside, and at that moment he reads a story: where people lived, what was left of them, how suddenly they had to go. A bare wall kills that illusion. A wall with wallpaper, on the other hand, gives a scene softness and a contrast of color against the gray of the street, the rubble and the equipment that prevails around it.
