What the set contains

This is a set of metal accessories for the model of the Polish PZL P.11c fighter. According to the name it includes the barrels of the wz. 33 machine guns, a gunsight and a Venturi tube, exactly the small things that decide the impression a finished model makes as a whole. The metal execution keeps the correct slenderness of the part without it being fragile, and the muzzle of a barrel looks like an opening rather than a dimple in plastic. That it is meant for the IBG kit is given in the name itself; the exact number of parts and the fitting procedure are in the manufacturer's instructions.

The real subject

The PZL P.11c was a Polish parasol fighter with a wing cranked into a gull shape, fixed landing gear and an open cockpit. The wing set above the fuselage gave the pilot an exceptional view, which was a welcome advantage in its day. The Venturi tube on the fuselage used the airflow to create a vacuum to drive the onboard instruments, so the aircraft needed no driven pump.

Building tips

Cut the original plastic part off with a sharp blade and level the face; always try the seating of the metal part dry first. If a hole is needed, drill slowly and start with a smaller diameter. Glue the metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue and apply it in small amounts, because the contact area is usually small. Degrease the parts before painting and use a base coat suitable for metal, otherwise the top layer will not hold well.
