Use

• Paint the base in a light wood shade and go over it with a gloss coat so that the decal settles without silvering.

• Soak the decal, move it onto the part and settle it with a decal softener; on profiled surfaces a little warmth also helps.
• Once dry, fix it with a matte coat and only then add a wash, a filter or pigments.
• Tune the resulting color with thin translucent coats, as the decal is pale and can be shaded even strongly.
