Small figures of farmyard poultry in 1:35 scale. This is not a vehicle or an aircraft kit, but a scene accessory: animals that give a country scene life and hint to the viewer at the scale of the whole composition. The 1:35 scale is the most widespread in military vehicle modeling, so the figures suit the vast majority of tanks, armored vehicles and military figures in this scale.
Poultry belongs to the most frequently used details of country scenes: a farmyard, a field track, the surroundings of a barn or the threshing yard where a parked vehicle stands. It is precisely such small things that turn a model into a scene. The animals also work as a counterweight to the hardware, because they bring a civilian dimension into an austere military scene and help lead the viewer's eye where you want it.
Rinse and degrease the figures before painting, cut off any casting residue or gates with a sharp knife and clean the surface up with fine abrasive paper. Match the choice of glue to the material: cyanoacrylate glue works well on small resin parts, thin plastic cement on plastic. The foundation is a thin coat of primer; without it the paint holds badly on a smooth surface. Feathers look best painted from a dark base up to lighter layers with a dry brush; pick out the comb and the wattles in a rich red. A final matte varnish will unify the sheen, while the eyes and the beak are worth leaving slightly glossy.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and the base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
