Responsibility details are not available.
A single figure in resin that Black Dog placed in its period British range as a subject of its own. Scottish figures hold a special position in modeling: they differ from the rest of the British cast so much that even a single such figure changes the feel of a whole scene and catches the eye sooner than the hardware around it.
Scottish regiments wore the British khaki uniform but added elements of their own: a soft headdress instead of the usual cap, in some units a kilt or trews of tartan cloth, and a dark woolen cape in the cold. Officers' equipment also tended to be lighter than an infantryman's, with a harness across the chest and without the heavy field load, so the silhouette of the figure is slimmer.
If the figure carries tartan cloth, it is the most demanding place of the whole build. The procedure is always the same: a base in the prevailing dark tone, then vertical stripes with a fine brush, horizontal ones over them and finally thin contrasting lines. Draw the pattern smaller than seems right, or at a small scale it will look coarse. Keep the rest of the uniform muted, by contrast, so that the pattern stays the only dominant element.
