1:35 USMC Female Helicopter Pilot - a resin figure of a female US Marine Corps helicopter pilot from DEF Model. A less usual subject that will make any modern diorama special.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a female US Marine Corps helicopter pilot in 1:35 scale from the South Korean firm DEF Model. A female aircrew member is still a rare subject on the modeling market - this figure therefore offers a welcome way to give a modern scene both authenticity and originality. It goes superbly with the figure of the male pilot from the same range.
Women have served as pilots of attack and transport helicopters in the US Marine Corps since the 1990s and today are a normal part of the squadrons. The equipment is the same as that of their male colleagues: a fire-resistant flight suit, a helmet with a visor, a survival vest and emergency equipment. The figure captures these elements faithfully in 1:35 scale.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water before building, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and use a base coat before painting. The flight suit comes out well with gentle lightening of the edges, and we recommend painting the face with oil paints or good acrylics in several layers.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
