This photo-etched metal set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is meant to refine a model of the German half-track Sd.Kfz.2 Kettenkraftrad in 1:35 scale. It is not a model in its own right but an accessory with which you replace coarser plastic components with accurate thin parts of photo-etched metal.
The Kettenkrad was a unique combination of a motorcycle and a tracked chassis. In the Second World War the German army used it as a towing and liaison vehicle in heavy terrain where ordinary motorcycles failed. Thanks to its small size and good cross-country ability it became popular and is an iconic machine to this day.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend the fine pieces with a bending tool or two razor blades and bond them with super glue or two-part epoxy. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
