A resin wheel set in 1:35 scale for a model of the German Sd.Kfz. 231 and 232 heavy armored car in the six-wheeled form. Beware of confusion: the same type number was also carried by the later eight-wheeled version, for which a different set is made. This one belongs on the vehicle with three axles. It is not a kit, but a replacement for the plastic wheels on a model you already own.
The first heavy armored cars designated Sd.Kfz. 231 were built on the chassis of production trucks with three axles. They carried a rotating turret with a 2 cm cannon and a machine gun, and the 232 version added a prominent frame antenna above the body for a radio set. They served reconnaissance detachments in Poland and in France, but their cross-country ability was limited, so the eight-wheeled design soon replaced them.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw, true the surface with a file and use respiratory protection while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is, with cyanoacrylate. Before fitting, check the diameter of the stubs on the axles. The bottom of the tires can be sanded slightly into a flat. Leave the rubber dark gray and pick up dust in the tread, otherwise the vehicle will look fresh out of the workshop.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
