Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the light German half-tracked armored vehicle Sd.Kfz.250/3 GREIF in 1:35 scale from Takom. The model captures the command version of the vehicle made famous by General Rommel in North Africa, including the on-board radio set and the characteristic inscription GREIF. Figures are part of the package.
The Sd.Kfz.250 was a light half-tracked armored personnel carrier built by DEMAG for the German army in the Second World War. The 250/3 version was the command one: in place of some of the seats it carried a powerful long-range radio set and served commanders as a mobile command post. The best known vehicle, GREIF (meaning griffin), was used by Field Marshal Erwin Rommel during the campaign in North Africa.
First assemble and paint the running gear, the tracks and the interior of the hull, because on a half-track the inside is clearly visible, so it pays to finish painting the radio set and the seats before you close the hull. Glue the plastic with a thin modeling cement, even out the surface with a primer and apply the paint with an airbrush. A sand base color is typical of the African theater; suggest its fading with light filters. Create the dust and the caked mud on the running gear with pigments, and the fine shadows in the folds and around the rivets with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
