A pack of accessory sets from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Sikorsky CH-54A heavy helicopter in 1:35 scale. It is not a helicopter kit but a set of accessories used on a model you have already bought. This is how Eduard brings several of its separate sets for one type together in a single package. Check which particular sets the pack contains against the illustration on the packaging.
The Sikorsky CH-54A, known by the name Tarhe, is an American heavy helicopter of crane configuration. Instead of a conventional cargo hold it has only a narrow beam between tall landing gear legs, beneath which a load or a transport module is slung. The crew cabin has an operator's station at the rear facing backwards, so that he can see the load while slinging and setting it down. Because of this configuration the structure is largely exposed, and accessory sets are therefore far more visible on this type than on enclosed machines.
Follow the instructions with the individual sets and test fit all the parts dry before you reach for the glue. Small metal parts are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate) applied with a pin, not straight from the tube; it is advisable to spray the metal with a primer coat before painting, or the layer will rub off. Most of the interior detail has to be fitted before the fuselage is closed up, so it pays to go through the build plan for the whole model in advance and work out what comes when.
