Sikorsky SH-60B Seahawk decal set in 1:35 scale

An add-on decal set from the Red Fox Studio brand for a model of the Sikorsky SH-60B Seahawk shipboard helicopter in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit and not resin parts, but an accessory that is applied to surfaces of the model already built and painted and takes the place of the laborious drawing of tiny details with a brush.

The real subject

The SH-60B Seahawk is the naval offshoot of the Black Hawk family, adapted for service from the decks of frigates and destroyers. It received a folding main rotor and tail boom, strengthened landing gear and a system for securing it to a pitching deck. It acted as the extended arm of its mother ship: it hunted submarines with sonobuoys it dropped, watched surface targets with a radar under the nose and passed the information back to the ship. The characteristic feature of the B version is the sonobuoy launcher on the left side and a towed sensor on the right side of the fuselage, so it can be told from the other members of the Seahawk family even at a distance.

How to use the set

First finish the surfaces the accessory is to go onto and let them dry; the base should be smooth and degreased. Work with tweezers, one element at a time and without hurrying, exactly according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once you are done, check that nothing projects into the glued seams that are still to be closed.
