1:35 Soviet helmet SSh-39/40 (detail) is a set of resin 3D-printed Soviet helmets for figures and dioramas in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set of finely 3D-printed resin Soviet helmets in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of equipment but an item of gear for figures and dioramas. The detail version has a well-worked shell so that the helmet sits properly on the heads of figures.
The Soviet SSh-39 steel helmet was brought in in 1939, and its revised SSh-40 version differed above all in its inner fittings. The Red Army wore both types throughout the Second World War and in the postwar years, and they are among the typical features of the Soviet soldier.
Before separating the parts from the tabs and before sanding, dip them in hot water so that the resin softens and does not chip; it hardens again once cooled. Wash the castings, cut the casting blocks away with a sharp tool, bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. Paint them with ordinary modeling paints; a fine wash and a flat varnish bring out the shape of the helmet.
The set contains resin helmet castings only. Figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
