A resin replacement gun mantlet with a rendered protective canvas for the German Sturmpanzer IV assault vehicle in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle kit but a detail accessory, which replaces the plastic part and adds a realistic fabric cover over the gap between the mantlet and the superstructure.
The Sturmpanzer IV was a heavily armored German assault vehicle built on the Panzer IV chassis and armed with a short 15 cm howitzer, meant for destroying fortifications and supporting the infantry in fighting in built-up areas. The canvas cover of the mantlet protected the moving gap of the gun from dirt and bad weather.
Wash the mold release agent off the casting, cut off the casting block and clean the mating surface up. Bond with super glue, and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Pick the fabric canvas out with a dark wash into the folds and a dry brush on the edges.
The accessory does not contain the model itself, nor glue or paints. It is meant for completing an existing kit.
