An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Swedish infantry fighting vehicle CV9035 from the CV90 family in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model is richly divided, with a turret carrying a 35 mm automatic cannon, separate upper and lower hull and individual track links. Photo-etched parts are included as well. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
The CV90 is a Swedish tracked infantry fighting vehicle developed by Hägglunds. The CV9035 variant carries a 35 mm automatic cannon and modular armor; the Netherlands and Denmark took it into service. The vehicle combines high mobility, strong fire support for the infantry and modern fire control systems and is among the most successful European infantry fighting vehicles. The CV90 family became an export success and serves with a number of European armies; its characteristic features are the angular hull shapes optimized for low detectability.
The vehicle has a great many parts, so build it in subassemblies. Finish and paint the running gear and the individual track links before you close up the hull. An airbrush will handle a modern single-color or camouflage scheme; the well divided surface comes out well once washes are run into the seams and the edges are brought out. Dust and mud pigments on the running gear will give the vehicle realistic weathering from service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
