A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale for the Syrian T-54 and T-55 tanks from the Yom Kippur War of 1973.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-54 and T-55 are Soviet medium tanks of the postwar generation, which at first sight differ from one another only in detail and which spread to dozens of armies the world over. That is exactly why they make a rewarding modeling subject: one type, many users and different markings every time. These machines belonged to Syrian armament in large numbers and in 1973 they went through deployment in the Yom Kippur War.
The sheet in 1:35 scale is devoted to the Syrian machines of both types from this conflict. The elements are arranged so that several different tanks can be marked from one sheet. The breakdown of the variants, their colored grounds and the exact placing of the elements on a model are given in the instructions supplied with the sheet.
Cut an element out with sharp scissors close to the printing and soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water. As soon as it begins to slide freely over the backing paper, transfer it onto a smooth, glossy and degreased surface. Press the excess water out with a soft cloth, help matters with a softener on the rounded turret, and once it has dried go over the area with varnish, so that the edges of the carrier film disappear.
The sheet is for builders of equipment of Soviet design in 1:35 scale who want to bring a model to a Middle Eastern form instead of the usual Soviet one. A model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
