Figures of the Northern side from the time of the American Civil War in 1:35 scale. One of the characters is a scout.
Responsibility details are not available.
The American Civil War ran from 1861 to 1865 and set the North against the South. The soldiers of the Northern side were nicknamed Yankees, and their army held together mainly thanks to supply, which went over unpaved roads, with wagons and horses. Scouts moved far ahead of the main forces, often on their own and in whatever they had at hand, so pieces of uniform mixed with civilian clothing on them. This variety makes the characters of that time a rewarding subject.
This set from the range devoted to the American Civil War brings characters of the Northern side in 1:35 scale; one of them is a scout. A figure around one hundred and seventy-five centimeters tall measures exactly five centimeters in this scale. The 1:35 scale is the most widespread for military scenes, so the figures can be combined with wagons, artillery and scenic accessories of the same scale.
Sand and fill any joints on the shoulders and the neck after gluing, because those are the most visible once painted. A dark blue blouse and lighter blue trousers are typical of the regular Northern units, but with scouts and support personnel it pays to reach for brown, gray and earth shades too. Build the faces in thin layers and leave a shadow in the folds. Unify the finished figures with a matte varnish.
Paints, glue and a base are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
