A set of figures of American snipers in 1:35 scale for a quiet, well-pointed scene in a diorama or a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
Snipers usually work in pairs: one shoots while the other watches the surroundings and picks out the targets. That is exactly why a set with more than one figure is more rewarding than a lone one, because it makes it possible to show cooperation rather than just waiting. The whole subject rests on stillness and on cover, so the scene needs neither movement nor hardware to hold the attention.
The composition that comes off best is one where the figures share the direction of their gaze but hold different postures. Low cover, grass or a ruin to disappear into visually is all that is needed around them. In 1:35 scale an adult measures about five centimeters, so the set combines with vehicles, buildings and terrain accessories in the same scale. A smaller base is amply enough; more important than the area is that there be a relationship between the figures and the cover.
Cut any excess material away a little distance from the part with a sharp blade and sand the remainder, then wash, degrease and prime the surface. Join the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, which holds on ordinary modeling materials. Paint both figures at the same time in the same palette so that they belong together, and set them apart only by skin shade and degree of grime. Paint the camouflage softly, without sharp borders between the patches, and finally go over the figures and the base with a shared wash and light dusting. Close the surface with a matte varnish.
The set suits modelers who enjoy building small narrative scenes, and also those who want to add infantry to American hardware in 1:35 scale. The painting is manageable with a brush and forgives small inaccuracies, because a muted palette emphasizes nothing.
Paints, glue and the other material needed to finish it are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
