The third part of the USA posters 1:35 line from the brand Royal Model. A finished paper print for scenes on the battlefield and in the rear.
Responsibility details are not available.
The closing part of the American paper line from the Italian manufacturer Royal Model. The contents are a printed sheet from which the individual motifs are cut out, best with a sharp scalpel against a ruler, so that the edge stays straight. The set is separate and does not assume ownership of the previous parts.
A freshly cut motif tends to look too new in a scene. Light creasing between the fingers, darkening the edges with a soft pencil and a weak tint of pigment will help. Anyone who wants a surface pasted over several times layers two or three cut-outs with torn corners; such a wall then looks as if notices had hung on it for a whole year. A torn corner with a piece of the surface underneath is a detail the viewer notices sooner than a perfectly sanded joint on a model of a vehicle.
In the United States the leading illustrators of the day took part in this work and it was printed in runs of hundreds of thousands. The task of such graphics was not to decorate but to keep up the pace of production and the public's willingness to finance the war. Today it is a valuable period source, and on a model it reliably places a scene in time.
The motifs are supplied as a print on a sheet; scissors, a scalpel and glue are not enclosed.
