A replacement for the wheels of a model of the German Volkswagen Type 82E passenger car in size 1:35. The tires have a compressed contact patch modeled in, matching a vehicle standing on its wheels, a detail that injection-molded parts from the box usually cannot manage. The type 2 variant differs from the others in the line in its tread pattern.
While an ordinary passenger car came to a halt straight away on the muddy roads of the Eastern Front, the Type 82E coped thanks to a chassis taken over from the field Kubelwagen. Reduction gears in the rear hubs lifted the whole body higher off the ground and at the same time increased the tractive effort. The car therefore carried officers where a production sedan would not have got through, and it also appeared in North Africa.
Before spraying, rinse the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry completely. Applying a thin primer proves worthwhile, because a smooth surface otherwise takes paint badly. Bring out the tread with a dry brush in light gray and leave the sidewalls matte instead.
