The fourth set from the series of welded supports with return rollers for the Pz.Kpfw IV in 1:35 scale. It serves as a replacement for parts that tend to be simplified in kits because of the limitations of an injection mold. The PANZER ART marque keeps this series in several sequence numbers.
The mounts are thin, intricate in shape and hard to make in a mold, so in the box they often look more massive than they were in reality. The replacement brings a finer profile and a cleaner transition between the bracket and the side of the hull. The difference shows mainly when the finished model is displayed at eye level and the viewer looks straight at the side of the machine.
The German Pz.Kpfw IV became the most widespread tank of its kind and served on all fronts from the first campaigns to the end of the war. Its chassis served tank destroyers and self-propelled guns as well, so you will make use of the running gear parts outside the basic version too.
Before you start gluing, level the height of the two sides against a template or a ruler; the eye reveals even a deviation that seems negligible. Dose the glue sparingly, as a surplus would flood the fine structure of the weld. Once it has dried, apply a primer and immediately after it a dark wash, which will draw into the corners. Grade the dusting: most at the ground, and let it weaken gradually upward.
