A photo-etched set for a model of the German Panther Ausf.D medium tank in 1:35 scale; check the scope of the set against the manufacturer's part number and the instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Panther Ausf.D was the first production version of the German medium tank, which reached the fighting in 1943. It combined sloped armor with a long-barreled 75 mm gun and a running gear in which the road wheels overlap one another. It differs from the later versions in the shape of the turret with the cylindrical commander's cupola and in the arrangement of the front wall of the hull.
Photo-etched parts for a model of the Panther Ausf.D in 1:35 scale. Photo-etched parts are used where the material ought to be thinner than a plastic part can be: covers, mesh, brackets, sheet-metal stiffeners and similar small items. What exactly the fret holds and in what order the parts are fitted is given in the manufacturer's instructions; check the scope of the set and the target kit against the manufacturer's part number before buying.
The parts are held in the fret by thin tabs. Separate them with a sharp blade on a hard surface or with photo-etch scissors, never by breaking them out. Take the bends over a sharp edge or in a bending tool, and on long parts along the whole length at once. Glue with cyanoacrylate applied on the tip of a wire, and on larger surfaces with a two-part epoxy, which gives time to position them. Before painting, degrease the parts and lay on a primer, otherwise the finish will peel off during handling.
For modelers who have experience of photo-etched parts and want to take a model as far as the detail goes. It pays to have tweezers, a sharp blade and a bending tool at hand. The model, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
