American cartridge cases of 75 mm caliber from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale are an add-on set for a plastic kit you already own, not a model. They serve to tell a scene: empty cartridge cases after firing.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set of cartridge cases of 75 mm caliber in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle or of a weapon but small parts, with which an already built kit or a diorama is fitted out. The set is usable generally, not for one particular kit only.
American tank guns of 75 mm caliber used a fixed round, after the firing of which an empty cartridge case remained. That was collected into bags in the fighting compartment or thrown out through a hatch, so it piled up around a position that had been firing. The set captures precisely this part of the story, which plastic kits mostly do not hold at all.
In a diorama cases are a rewarding feature, because by themselves they tell what has just happened. Strewn on the floor of the fighting compartment, poured out of a bag beside a vehicle or tossed around an artillery position — every time they carry information. It pays not to set them down regularly: a random rotation, one tipped over, one half sunk into the mud.
Degrease the metal with spirit and cover it with a base, otherwise the paint does not hold. Cases tend to be smooth and glossy, so a metallic shade with a fine sheen suits them, and a light dark wash, which will bring out the edge of the mouth and the base. Used cases are as a rule sooted and dirtied — a few strokes of dark pigment at the mouth and dust from the surrounding ground will blend them into the scene reliably. Glue them with a drop of cyanoacrylate applied with a wire; a greater amount would flood them.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, which is not part of the package. Glue, paints and groundwork material are not enclosed.
