Eduard 1:350 Carley float for 40 people, Type 2 PRINT is a set of 3D printed Carley life rafts for refining the deck of warship models in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a ship model but a resin accessory intended to refine the fittings of a deck. Made by direct 3D printing, the set captures Carley life rafts in the version for 40 people (Type 2) in 1:350 scale faithfully. It serves to replace coarser parts from the base kit, or to add rafts where the kit has none.
The Carley float was a life raft formed by a buoyant ring with an inner grating floor. On the decks of warships of the First and Second World Wars it was used in several sizes according to the number of people it was to carry. The rafts were placed along the superstructures and on the sides of ships, from where they could be put into the water quickly.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports with a sharp knife or a fine saw and level the surfaces. Wash and degrease the surface before gluing. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fine grating relief comes out after painting and a light wash into the recesses. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
