A photo-etched detail set for a model of the Japanese light cruiser Kuma in 1:350 scale from Aoshima.
Responsibility details are not available.
The photo-etched set serves to refine the detail of a plastic model of the Japanese light cruiser Kuma in 1:350 scale markedly. It is not a ship model in its own right but an accessory in etched metal which replaces or completes fine elements such as railings, ladders, radar and crane structures or superstructure parts.
The Kuma was the lead ship of the class of the same name of Japanese light cruisers, commissioned after the First World War and committed in the Second World War as well. Photo-etched parts make it possible to capture thin metal structures more faithfully than injection-molded plastic parts allow.
Separate the parts from the fret carefully, form the bends with a bending tool or a ruler and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease them before painting; primer and fine edge highlighting work well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
