A set of photo-etched brass parts in 1:350 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. It is not a model but a detail accessory that adds fine items to the plastic kit of the American heavy cruiser USS Indianapolis (CA-35) of the Second World War period. The thin brass parts capture details that cannot be faithfully molded in plastic.
The set usually contains fine railings, ladders, radar aerials, cranes, catapults and other superstructure items. You use them to replace the coarser plastic parts from the kit and the ship gains a faithful, fine texture. The set is intended for the matching plastic kit of this cruiser.
Nip the photo-etched parts carefully from the fret, bend them precisely according to the drawing (a photo-etch bender helps) and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The railings and the aerials are very fine, so work with tweezers and without hurry. This is an accessory for more advanced modelers.
The set contains photo-etched parts. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
