A set from the Decalcas brand for modelers who build the Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T in 1:24 scale. According to the name the masks have their shape prepared in advance, so you go straight to painting the frames and both tracing and cutting out fall away. A kit of the car is not included.
The Chevrolet Cruze appeared in racing form in the world touring car championship at the moment when the rules moved to force-fed engines of a displacement of one and a half to sixteen hundred cubic centimeters. The car came from an ordinary family sedan, but the racing version was given a different chassis, aerodynamic elements and a cage structure in the cabin. In the later phase of the series the Cruze belonged among the most successful cars of the grid. For modelers it is a rewarding subject: relatively simple shapes, but a varied color scheme with a multitude of sponsors.
Leave the glazing to a later phase of the build, so that it is not scratched during the work. Before fitting the masks, degrease the surface. Spray the paint perpendicular to the area and only in thin layers, otherwise a ridge forms under the edge of a mask. After taking a mask off, look the edges over against the light; small shortcomings are repaired with a brush in a moment. Only then fit the part into the body.
