1.2 mm Hose joints (Set 2) is a set of hose fittings with an outlet 1.2 mm in diameter from Decalcas — for detailing the lines on a car model.

A set of fittings, that is end pieces and connectors for hoses, with an outlet 1.2 mm in diameter. It is not a kit but an accessory for detailing the brake, cooling, hydraulic and fuel lines on a model. It is the second of three sets of the same size, and the parts from them can be combined with each other, because they differ in the angles at which the hose leaves the end piece. The manufacturer lists the 1.2 mm sets in 1:20 scale.
The lines on a model decide whether an engine bay looks like the real thing. A hose on its own without a fitting ends in mid-air, however, and it shows — a connector at both ends anchors it and gives it sense. The deciding figure when choosing is precisely the diameter of the outlet, because it has to match the gauge of the hose you use. Besides 1.2 mm the range also has the sizes 0.8 mm and 2.0 mm; they are different items and will not stand in for one another.
Work from the fitting to the hose: glue the end pieces in their places first, then stretch the hose between them and trim it only once it is in place. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue a drop at a time, so that the joint is not flooded. Spray a primer before painting and finish the metallic shades with a brush — polished aluminum and the gold of anodizing look better on a small part laid on by hand than with an airbrush.
