A publication from the Fast Guide series of the Komakai brand, devoted to the Porsche 911 GT3 R racing car of the 997 generation.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Porsche 911 in the generation with the factory designation 997 also received a racing form, the GT3 R, meant for GT endurance racing. Against the road car it has a roll cage, a racing seat with belts, a fire suppression system, reworked aerodynamics and a lightened interior from which only the essentials were left. What stayed, on the other hand, is the arrangement typical of the whole line: a six-cylinder engine mounted at the rear behind the axle and an unmistakable body outline.
The title belongs to the Fast Guide series, which the Komakai brand devotes to a single car at a time. A modeler looks in it for what a kit does not address: how the cage was routed, what was visible through the windows, how the individual cars of individual teams differed and where the lettering and race numbers belonged. With racing Porsches it is the color scheme that sets a model apart from the dozens of others built from the same kit.
For builders of GT car models, for admirers of the Porsche brand and for collectors of motorsport literature. It is a standalone publication, and a model, a kit and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
