M1 White comes from the white form of the BMW M1, a mid-engined coupe that had a racing championship of its own at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s.

A white associated with the BMW M1, a model the brand never repeated in its range. The coupe with a low wedge body and an engine mounted behind the crew was made in a small series for homologation, and a light color was among the most often seen on it, because it let the sharp edges of the body stand out.
The M1 had an inline six-cylinder with twin overhead camshafts, a body designed by an Italian studio and a build divided among several firms in two countries. When it proved impossible to produce enough examples for the planned racing class, a separate series was created for the car, running in the support program of grands prix, where Formula 1 stars faced one another in technically identical cars. The white form appeared both on road examples and as a ground for racing schemes. On a model it stands out mainly because the car has hardly any rounded surfaces and a light color brings out every edge.
It aims at modelers of sports cars and historic racing who want a white tied to one type. The line holds further shades of the same brand, so it is possible to stay within one family of colors. During a build it is good to know that road and racing examples differed in more than graphics: the racing versions received flared fenders, different wheels and a front spoiler, so the same white creates quite a different impression on two kits.
