A black shade from an Italian paint range for airbrushing, in a thirty milliliter bottle. It comes in a consistency ready to spray, so all you need to do before use is stir the contents. The shade is named after the Lotus 78 Formula car of the second half of the 1970s, the machine that was the first to make systematic use of the downforce created by the shape of its underbody, and whose black scheme with gold lines is among the best known in the history of racing.
Shake the bottle thoroughly and spray in thin coats. Black covers well, but at the same time it reveals every irregularity in the base without mercy, because light reflects off a glossy dark surface and every dip shows. Smooth the surface carefully before painting, then. The paint is solvent based, it does not thin with water, and for thinning and cleaning the airbrush use the thinner of the same brand. Apply it to plastic over a primer. For the gold lines, mask only once the black has dried completely.
