Number Five Italian Red

This is a modeling paint from a specialized range of shades for car models. The shade captures the typical Italian racing red associated with Italian sports and racing cars. The paint is lacquer based (solvent based) with finely ground pigments and a synthetic resin, so it is thinned with lacquer thinner rather than water. It is supplied in a 30 ml bottle and is ready to spray with an airbrush straight away.

Use

• Intended above all for application with an airbrush; the paint has high covering power and a rich pigment.
• It adheres to plastic, resin, photo-etched parts and white metal, best on a smoothly prepared base.
• Short drying time: ready to handle after roughly 30 minutes, ready to sand after 24 hours.
• If thinning is needed, thin only with lacquer thinner of the same type, and clean the airbrush and brushes with solvent rather than water.

For modelers building road and racing cars who want an exact factory shade without mixing. Because of the lacquer base it will be appreciated above all by more advanced builders used to working with an airbrush.
