A Number 5 modeling paint in a blue shade under the designation Gendarmerie Blue, from a line named after automotive paints.
Responsibility details are not available.
Gendarmerie Blue is a blue shade from the range of the Number 5 brand. The colors of this line are named after automotive paints, so the shade will find a use mainly on the bodies of car models, both with cars in a single-color form and as a surface beneath stripes and lettering. The paint is mixed ready, so it is enough for you to stir it and apply it.
Stir the contents of the container thoroughly before work, as settled pigment changes the tone as well as the covering power. It can be worked with a brush as well as an airbrush, and the thinner and the ratio of thinning are given by the maker's instructions. Apply in two or three thin layers and let the paint flash off between them. With a brush lead the strokes in one direction and do not return into a surface that has flashed off, otherwise the traces of the bristles will remain noticeable.
A body takes the smallest mistake worst of all the parts of a model, because it is the largest continuous surface. Before painting, wash it, degrease it and sand the filled places, then apply a base color, which evens out a varied surface. Let the finished coat truly mature, not merely dry to the touch, and only then lay decals or masking tape onto it. Close the container between individual withdrawals, as the paint otherwise dries at the rim and the lid dries shut.
For builders of car models who work with named body shades, and for anyone who needs a ready blue. Thinner, base color, varnish and brushes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
