A colored three-dimensional cockpit decal from Quinta Studio in 1:48 scale for the McDonnell Douglas F-15D, the two-seat version of the F-15 Eagle fighter. The set is printed and color printed on decal paper, so it is applied with water like a decal but creates raised, already painted detail on the model. On a two-seat machine that tells twice over, because both cockpits are visible under the large canopy.

Paint the surface the decal is going onto first and go over it with gloss varnish. Cut the part out exactly along its outline and dip it in lukewarm water for longer than you are used to with a thin sheet, because the backing is thicker. As soon as the film releases, transfer the part into place with tweezers, adjust the position with a brush and draw the surplus water off with a cotton swab. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer on these layered decals, as the chemicals attack the printed resin and ruin the element. Fit the cockpit before you close the fuselage, otherwise you will no longer reach it.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The Academy base kit, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
