A kit of the modern Italian supercar in 1:24 scale from the Japanese company Aoshima. The body is, according to the name, supplied already painted in red, so the builder can concentrate on the interior, the chassis and the details instead of on the lengthy preparation of a gloss surface.

The real subject

Red belongs to the colors the marque from Emilia-Romagna is most often associated with, and on the sharply faceted surfaces of the Huracan it looks especially good. The car came onto the market in 2014 and during its career it saw a range of derived versions, from all-wheel drive to a lightened version for circuits. The common denominator remained the unsupercharged V10, which holds an exceptional reputation among collectors.

Building advice

• Red paint shows prints easily, so work in clean gloves.
• Assemble the chassis groups and check them dry before the final joining.
• Paint the small accessories with a brush; an airbrush brings no advantage on them.
• Bring out the gaps between the hood and the fenders with a thin dark line.
