A replacement part for A-10A and A-10C models in 1:48 scale: the open in-flight refueling slipway door in its early form.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-10 is an American single-seat attack aircraft meant for close support of ground units. Its in-flight refueling receptacle sits on the upper side of the forward fuselage, just ahead of the cockpit, and is covered by a door that opens only while fuel is being taken on. An open door is therefore a detail that tells at once the moment in which the machine is caught. The letter in the designation distinguishes the original A form from the updated A-10C.
This is a replacement part that stands in for the closed door from the kit and shows it open. It carries the early form, so it suits machines of the matching period. The part is not polystyrene, ordinary modeling cement for plastic will not hold on it and the joint is made with super glue. The extent of the package, and whether the interior of the bay behind the door is included, is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The aircraft model, paints, glue and decals are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
