The set combines brand decals with photo-etched parts for a model of the Nissan GT-R R35 in the Combat Style reading by the Liberty Walk workshop. The combination of a printed sheet and thin metal sheet makes it possible to add both the lettering and the small elements that cannot be cast in plastic or in resin.
The GT-R of the R35 generation was given a turbocharged six-cylinder, all-wheel drive and the reputation of a car that beat far more expensive rivals. The Japanese workshop Liberty Walk made it famous again, this time with widened overfenders, a lowered chassis and a striking graphic reading. The Combat Style line is among its more pronounced works, and models built in it are among those a visitor stops at first in a display case.
First seat the photo-etched parts. Bend the metal over a metal ruler, not in your fingers, deburr the edges with fine abrasive paper and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a minute amount on the tip of a wire. Only when the metal elements hold and any varnish on them has cured does the turn of the decals come - the opposite order would mean damaged print. Around the seated parts lay the film down at a distance, so that it does not break across a sharp edge.
