A collectible piece prepared straight for a display case: the large Skoda Kodiaq SUV in the form after the facelift, reduced to 1:43 scale and done in a saturated yellow. The designation Plastacek is the name of the edition this color range belongs to. The car comes worked, so it is neither assembled nor painted in.
The Kodiaq was presented in 2016 as the marque's very first large SUV and from the start offered a seven-seat arrangement with two additional seats in the third row. The body stands on the group's modular platform, which showed in a long wheelbase and fairly short overhangs. The facelift of 2021 brought a taller and narrower radiator grille, reworked headlamps and new wheel patterns; it is easiest to recognize by the front end. It is produced in Kvasiny in eastern Bohemia.
A saturated yellow is a strong landmark in a collection, because the eye finds it first and it breaks up rows of dark metallics. At the same time it is merciless to dust, which shows on a light area sooner than on a dark one. Lift it off with a soft brush and stand the car so that direct sun does not fall on the hood; light pigments suffer most from it in time.
