This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from the Czech manufacturer captures the American supersonic reconnaissance aircraft McDonnell RF-101C Voodoo. It is a new mold with fine surface detail; the package contains parts on sprues and a decal sheet with two variants of American markings. The finished model has a length of around 15 cm.
The RF-101C was the photo-reconnaissance version of the heavy supersonic Voodoo. It carried camera equipment in place of armament and was the only version of the Voodoo to see combat. Thanks to its high speed it served for fast tactical reconnaissance.
Cut the small parts off carefully and glue them with thin plastic cement. A primer, thin coats of paint from an airbrush and a fine emphasis of the panel lines with a wash are recommended. Metallic and silvery surfaces stand out on a smooth undercoat; glue the glazing of the cockpit last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
