The Douglas Skyraider was an American carrier-borne attack aircraft created at the end of the Second World War. Although it was powered by a piston radial engine at a time when jets were coming in, its large weapons load, toughness and long endurance in the air earned it an exceptionally long career. The A-1H version played a notable part in the Vietnam War, both in support of ground forces and in rescue operations.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints. Paint and highlight the cockpit and the engine section before closing up the fuselage; mask the glazing. Assemble and paint the rich external stores separately. After the gloss coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add the heavy service wear typical of the Skyraider.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
