This set from the Brassin line by the Czech maker Eduard is not an aircraft model but a detailing resin armament accessory. It holds two AIM-120 missiles in the A and B versions with faithfully rendered bodies, wings and control surfaces. It usually comes with decal markings. The set does not include the aircraft kit.
The AIM-120 AMRAAM is an American medium-range air-to-air guided missile with active radar homing in the terminal phase of flight. The early AIM-120A and AIM-120B versions were carried by a number of modern American and allied fighters, for example the F-15, the F-16 or the F/A-18.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut them off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The missiles show to advantage once an even base coat, accurate markings and light panel shading have been applied.
This is an add-on resin set, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the aircraft kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
